February 12th, 2020

It’s been 2020 for quite a while now, but 12 February seems as good a day as any for the third StoryClub Newsletter, so here goes:

Website

You’ll have noticed that the website is continually evolving and getting better, thanks to the efforts of James. Keep your eyes peeled for even more changes coming up soon and let us know what you think!

Social

It’s been a while since we’ve all gotten together for a gathering. Is anyone interested in catching up again? Maybe for some food, or board games, or anything else - suggestions for activities welcome. Let us know what you think and we’ll circulate a Doodle Poll with some potential dates.

Suggestions for themes and ideas

We’d love to hear your suggestions for the weekly story themes and the three items to include, so when inspiration strikes, email your ideas over and we’ll add them to our complex and technologically advanced machine that decides which theme and items appear each week.

Remember though, that your items and themes may not appear together. Such things fall to the whim of the Gods (James).

Reconnect - we miss you!

We’re missing writing from some of our quieter members and it’d be great to hear from you guys again. If you don’t have time to write it would still be great to hear your thoughts on the stories - so don’t feel you have to write in order to feed back.

Alternatively, if StoryClub is just not for you at the moment and you’d like us to shut up for a while, let us know and we’ll take you off our mailing lists. It doesn’t have to be forever and you’re welcome back at any time.

New members

Perhaps you know someone who’d love to join StoryClub? Send ‘em our way and we’ll make them feel welcome. We’re always excited to read new writers and welcome new members to the StoryClub community. Help us to spread the word!

Social Media

We’re on Facebook and Twitter: @StoryClub500. Please share and invite people who might be interested. We’d love to see you on there.

And finally…

What about you? Do you have some news to share? A writing achievement? An event? A competition that other StoryClubbers might be interested in? Let us know and we’ll share it!
